Anna Smith is a Senior Policy Coordinator for JMA’s National team. Anna’s background is in federal labor and workforce development policy, focusing on prioritizing policy to build worker power. Prior to joining JMA Anna was a researcher at The Roosevelt Institute where she focused on worker equity and cracking down on corporate monopsony. Anna also has a background in development and operations to support programmatic work.
Anna is receiving her Masters in Labor Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she focuses on the labor movement and how to build workers’ power in the political economy.
Outside of work Anna is an avid cyclist and film enthusiast. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
