On October 23, 2024, Jobs to Move America (JMA) co-hosted a “Community Benefits Agreements: A Tool for Creating Good Jobs” webinar with the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program (EOP) as a part of the EOP’s Job Quality in Practice webinar series, which examines the strategies and approaches practitioners are using to improve job quality and expand economic opportunity.
The webinar explored how community benefits agreements (CBAs) are a powerful tool to ensure that communities and workers where developments or infrastructure projects are happening, also have an opportunity to benefit and shape the outcomes of these investments alongside high-road employers. The Aspen Institute’s EOP Managing Director Matt Helmer served as moderator, JMA’s CBARC manager Jay Mehta gave opening remarks and JMA’s Co- Executive Director Erica Iheme was one of the panelists alongside Amanda Woodrum from ReImagine Appalachia and Grace Adcox from Data for Progress.
