Haeden joined JMA as an organizing fellow after serving as the Auxiliary President for UMWA Locals 2245 and 2368. In this role she helped organize solidarity efforts and mutual aid to help support striking families throughout the Warrior Met Strike. She previously taught high school English and Theatre for 11 years and has been active in Southern labor campaigns. Recently she completed the Strategic Corporate Research Institute hosted by Cornell-ILR and the AFL-CIO. She received her B.A in English and her M.A. in Secondary Education as well as Instructional Leadership and Administration from The University of Montevallo. Outside of organizing and research, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, reading, and traveling.
