Tiqua Gator

Southern Workforce Equity Coordinator

Tiqua Gator currently serves as Workforce Equity Coordinator – Southern Region at JMA.

Tiqua earned her B.S. degree from Alabama A&M University in Marketing and her MSCE from University of West Alabama in Psychology/Counseling. She also obtained a Global Career Development Facilitator Certification from Kennesaw State University.

Tiqua shares a strong passion for supporting individuals who are underserved and marginalized. Prior to joining JMA, she held the position of Director of Career Services for a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting the re-entry population with career readiness training and development while reducing the recidivism rate. In addition, she has over 17 years of experience in the community college sector where she served in various positions such as: Director of Adult Education, Director of Student Services, Career Advisor and Testing/ADA Coordinator. Her motto is: “Judge your success not by what you have become, but by what others have become because of you.”

Tiqua is excited about the opportunity to build collaborative relationships that align with JMA’s mission “to seek to advance a fair and prosperous economy with good jobs and healthier communities for all.”
