Jorge Arellano is a seasoned labor organizer with over 15 years of experience in the labor movement. A proud rank-and-file member and longtime organizer with UNITE HERE, Jorge has led successful NLRB election campaigns, negotiated contracts that raised industry standards, and served as an elected official in his local union.
In the fall of 2024, Jorge led and won a 38-day strike at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego, securing a groundbreaking contract victory that became a model for other campaigns across the country. His leadership is rooted in a deep belief in worker power and a commitment to organizing from the ground up.
Outside of his work, Jorge enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, grilling the perfect steak, and mixing a great cocktail.
