Hailey Allen is a Senior Communications Specialist at Jobs to Move America, where she plays a key role in bridging communication theory, research, and practice to advance JMA’s mission. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Hailey is a member of the Southern team, where she uses her expertise to contextualize current labor and work issues within their historical and socioeconomic frameworks. A Tuscaloosa native, Hailey earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Alabama and is currently completing her PhD in Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her dissertation is an oral history project chronicling the intersection of food labor and hospitality in the Deep South.
