This factsheet outlines the work of JMA’s Illinois team, including our work to establish a standing U.S. Employment Plan policy at the Chicago Transit Authority and our coalition work to push to the state to invest in cleaner power and vehicle electrification. Black, brown, and low-income communities in Chicago and throughout Illinois are struggling with the consequences of decades of disinvestment. JMA and our Illinois coalition are fighting for intentional, equitable public investment in our communities — in clean transit and infrastructure that create family-sustaining jobs and support healthy communities.
