Powering Justice: JMA’s 2026 Insider Briefing
You’re invited to join the JMA team for Powering Justice, an exclusive evening of cocktails, light bites, and in-person updates on two major fronts shaping the future of worker justice and equitable green development.
We’ll share the latest from Imperial Valley, where a 3,400-kiloton lithium reserve has triggered a wave of industrial development, from direct lithium extraction to battery production, and where JMA and Valle Unido are organizing to ensure that longtime residents, tribal communities, and fenceline neighborhoods have real power in decisions that will shape the region’s economic and environmental future.
We’ll also bring you inside our newly launched Recall Injustice at Hyundai-Kia campaign. On November 20th, a new coalition delivered a letter signed by 41 organizations to the company CEO’s at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show, demanding the negotiation of a Community Benefits Agreement to solve documented abuses in the Hyundai-Kia supply chain involving the use of child labor, coercive prison labor, extensive safety, labor, and environmental violations across the companies’ U.S. supply chain.
