This factsheet outlines the work of JMA’s California team, including our work to improve the standing U.S. Employment Plan policy at LA Metro, organizing with community partners for Community Benefits Agreements, and our work to pass the California Jobs Plan Act. Every year, California, which is the country’s most populous state and represents the world’s 5th largest economy, hands billions in public dollars over to major
corporations through contracts and tax breaks. Our California team is fighting to ensure that those public dollars create good, clean, family-sustaining jobs for workers and their communities throughout the state.
