The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Development Associate, including communicating with and managing the logistics for board of director and staff retreats, managing the Executive Director’s calendar, data entry, filing, and research support for the completion of funding proposals and other special projects.
Qualifications: Applicants must be highly organized, detail-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to economic justice and the labor movement. Applicants must have experience with Microsoft Office and Google Drive programs and be a self-starter. Applicants must have an ability to write and communicate clearly and concisely. Applicants must also maintain files in complete and accessible fashion, manage time effectively, handle a high volume of requests, and work well with a team. Previous grant writing and/or executive assistant work a plus.
Terms of employment: $25/hour. Friendly, team-oriented working environment. This is a temporary position with approximately 20-30 hours of remote work per week from December 1 through March 31. Candidates can be located in California, New York, Illinois, Alabama, or Mississippi, where JMA has staff and offices.
