Tycee Bell is a community organizer and activist. Prior to joining JMA, Tycee spent 20 years working in the nonprofit sector. As a Regional Manager at Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, and the Community Center Director of The Salvation Army Joliet Corps, Tycee worked effortlessly to improve the overall health of the community through civic engagement.
She continues to advocate for sustainable community solutions in her hometown, Joliet, IL. She is leading coalitions and developing frameworks that result in collective impact, that will change systems for fair access to resources and opportunities.
As the Visionary Director of Seven Mountains, LLC and Community Cultivation Project, her work in personal and professional development is galvanizing leaders to take bold action for change in the community and in the boardroom. Tycee received the 2021 P.E.P.S award for community Service and 2022 Project Acclaim’s 2022 1st Quarter recipient of the Reverend James E. Allen Award for Service to the Community. Her work as a professional, and as a community leader has consistently reflected her dedication to issue advocacy, equity and transformation, and neighborhood relations.
