Eric Romann

Northeast Director

Eric Romann (he/him/él) is the Northeast Director for Jobs to Move America. At JMA, he leads campaigns to ensure public spending creates high-road employment in transit and semiconductor manufacturing sectors with a focus on labor/community coalition-building in three metropolitan regions. He joined JMA in 2024 after over two decades as a coalition-builder, strategic campaigner and grassroots organizer. He led a multi-year campaign with a broad coalition of environmental justice and community organizations to win policies to phase out oil drilling across Los Angeles. He also spent seven years working in a multi-racial, multi-lingual, working class organization of transit riders in Los Angeles, running campaigns for low transit fares, better bus service, and clean air. He is driven by a long-term commitment to building multi-racial movements fighting for working people, racial and gender justice, a livable planet, and human rights. Eric lives with his partner and two children in his home state of New Jersey, but part of his heart remains in California, where lived for 20 years. He loves reading, spending time in nature with his family, and watching or coaching  “the beautiful game” of fútbol.
