We are excited to invite you to join Jobs to Move America on our inaugural California Lithium Valley Learning Trip on November 11-13, 2025! In the midst of the chaos and cruelty shown by the Trump Administration and MAGA allies, workers and communities are organizing more than ever to protect the rights and livelihoods of working-class people against rapidly expanding corporate interests. This is a chance to contribute meaningfully to the worker organizing and corporate accountability efforts in an area that has been an extractive site for large industries like agriculture, and now Lithium mining, ignoring the needs and well-being of the people and their environment. It’s crucial to see and learn in person to truly grasp the significance of organizing in the Imperial Valley, and the potential of what we can achieve when we come together in the movement. This year, we’ll be exploring:
- Ocotillo— Desert Museum
- Calapatria– CBA panel
- Sonny Bono Recreation Site— learn about environment / local wildlife and ecology
- Salton Sea / Bombay Beach — discussion, breakfast, culture
