Prior to joining JMA, Jue interned at LAANE, where she worked on the Clean and Safe Ports Campaign, fighting for environmental and economic justice at the largest port complex in the nation. Jue developed her interest in grassroots advocacy and social change when she worked at the USC Metamorphosis Project, a research initiative focused on understanding of urban communities’ transformation under the forces of globalization, new communication technologies, and population diversity.
She was born in Dengfeng in the Central Plain of China and grew up in Foshan in the Pearl River Delta, one of China’s major manufacturing hubs.
Jue holds a bachelor’s degree in policy, planning and development and a master’s in urban planning from the University of Southern California. In her spare time, Jue enjoys hiking and finds inspiration from literature and art.
