As the California Organizer, Hector is working to connect good, clean jobs in transit manufacturing to communities and workers that, historically, have not had access to quality employment opportunities. Prior to joining JMA, Hector directed publicly funded employment and training programs across Southern California, helping develop workforce opportunities for at-risk youth, adults with barriers to employment, and mature workers in a changing job market.
Hector has been active as a member of Los Angeles’s Neighborhood Council system, contributing to the growth of the voice of neighborhoods across LA’s greater east side. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a master’s in public administration from California State University, Northridge.
