GUS2Gus is the Illinois Organizer for Jobs to Move America, working to create equitable and accessible job opportunities in transit manufacturing for Illinois. Prior to joining JMA, Gus served as a field organizer with the Illinois Chapter of the Sierra Club, working in Chicago and surrounding suburbs to build support for clean energy jobs for the state. He also completed the Green Corps Field School for Environmental Organizing, where he led grassroots campaigns across the country mobilizing hundreds of volunteers, building powerful coalitions and generating extensive media coverage.

He has worked in many regions, including Providence, RI and Tucson, AZ, where he campaigned on issues like protecting public lands and securing public health.

Gus holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.
